It really was a shame. Nat had found a new found love of potions, with the brand new sparkling cauldron in her room. It had barely been a few weeks before her supplies had dwindled to a depressing amount. She had been so careless as to disregard the labels, or to ask Erik before setting out on the wild goose chase of an excursion she had found herself in. Diagon alley had been full to the brim on the sunny afternoon, and almost everything had been backward.
Shop after shop insisted they were out of the few names she had recalled, and insisted the next would have what she was describing. She foolishly followed the flustered shopkeepers instructions, finding herself visiting stores she hadn't known existed. She had yet to find a single substance in stock, and it was greatly disheartening. By the time she'd found a place to pause and find her sense of direction, the people had seemed to vanish. Shops grew darker and darker, the winding streets thinner as she walked. Of course, Nat hadn't bothered to think what this could mean, she was glad she had breathing room.
Truth was, no matter how much progress she made, she found herself hyperventilating in the swarming crowds of people. It left her confused, panic, and stricken with fear. She paused, allowing herself a few deep breaths, before she surveyed her surroundings. A few witches and wizards passed, not looking up at the young girl as she watched them. It was as if they hadn't noticed her. Of course, Nat didn't mind in the least. She preferred it as such. She glanced at her map, feeling very much the tourist, but found no sign of where she was on the scribbles of Diagon Alley. With a shrug, she tucked it away, before continuing further down the alleys.
It wasn't long before Nat realized that despite the early afternoon hours, the ambiance seemed to grow darker. It was a no brainer that she had become horribly lost, and her curiosity had brought her to this point. She tugged one of her curls as she bit her lip, scanning the area for anyone that seemed the least bit approachable, and not..scary...
